Reciting a passage from Psalms, the Texas senator brought to mind the soaring, theatrical delivery of a televangelist: "Weeping may endure for a night," he said. "But joy cometh in the morning." - CBC News

Not only did Ted Cruz misuse a Bible verse for his own glory, he did so smugly. As Christians, we need to avoid twisting Bible verses for our own advantage. "The Bible is a double-edged sword and it can piece [sic] the heart. However, when stripped of its context and mangled and twisted in order to apply to a particular situation or person, the blade becomes dull and ineffective." - Entreating Favor
