Today's Groceries - Part 1

Unread postby musicmonkey » Sat Aug 16, 2008 5:12 am

About the video: The cost of today's groceries with comments on prepackaged food, eating out and eating at home.
Watch it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e4OjgQU_iaM

Discuss it below.

I'd be curious to know what you pay for groceries and what types of things you buy. That ground beef in the video is now a meatloaf baking in my mini convection oven. I can smell it.

I also baked a loaf of bread today in my bread maker. When I first got it a few years ago I was using it all the time, but then somehow it became more convenient to just buy bread at the store. My brother and sister in law have a bread maker too but they rarely use it. I want to be more diligent in using it. Sometimes the bread doesn't turn out though. You can't have old flour or old yeast. I keep my yeast in the freezer.

Sorry about the grainy low-quality text in the video. I'm still figuring out how to make it higher quality. Also, the timing of the graphics got a little out of sync because I accidentally deleted part of the video when I was almost done and had to redo an earlier part.

I always do. I have long arms so I can reach far in the back.

Yeah thats what I learned working in the Grocery Store---

Everytime you get something always always always make sure you reach waaaaaay in the back because the stuff that is up front is the oldest----

You would be surprised how many people don't know that!
