My all time favorite author-------

You can touch books like "The Everlasting Man" or the "Father Brown" series or "The Man Who Was Thursday" or "MANALIVE"----

Anybody else on this Message Board read any of G.K. Chesterton books?

Which ones do you guys like or dislike??

What do I like about G.K. Chesterton....

Wow----

The fact that he can write Theology book (The Everlasting Man, Orthodoxy) then turn to Fiction (MANALIVE, The Man Who Was Thursday) then turn to Politics (Whats Wrong With This World) and the list just goes on----

He was an all around guy---

I see that you are a fan of C.S. Lewis-------

G.K. Chesterton book "The Everlasting Man" C.S. Lewis was quoted as saying that books open his eyes to God and helped him on the path to where he got saved----being that he was an Atheist at the time.

What led G.K. Chesterton to write "Whats Wrong With This World" is at the time there was a Newspaper Article with that question and the Newspaper sent the question to all the "important people" and all these Authors and Doctors wrote these LOOOOOOOONG replys back to the question about everything that was wrong and G.K. Chesterton wrote this:

(The Newspaper Name was at the top)
I Am
Sincerely,
G.K. Chesterton
........................................right to the point huh?

The first quote that comes to my mind from G.K. Chesteron is

"Its good to be open minded but not to the point to where your brain falls out"- G.K. Chesterton

OR

"The mystery of life is the plainest part of it"

"Do not look at the faces in the illustrated papers. Look at the faces in the streets"

AND THE LIST GOES ON AND ON AND ON!!!

Great Author and a Great Man!
